Terry L. "Ted" Worley

Terry L. (Ted) Worley, age 90 of Rome/Floyd County passed away Tuesday March 8, 2022. Ted was born in Bartow County GA. Feb 11, 1932 to the late William Worley and Corine Lipscomb Worley. He was an active member of Mount Alto Baptist Church. He was a proud member of Carpenters For Christ from 1987-1991. He was a veteran and served as aircraft mechanic in the US Air Force and was in the Korean conflict. One of Ted’s hobbies was his involvement in the Corvair Club of Atlanta but he derived the greatest pleasure from working on and restoring a number of Chevrolet Corvairs throughout his life. One of his prized Corvair convertibles was featured in the film “We are Marshall.” He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Myers Worley, his parents, his brother Max Worley and his sister Joyce Hendricks. Survivors include his children, Terry (Mike) Roberson, Ilene (Greg) Carter, Mark (Cathy) Worley, Lisa Worley Owens, and Terry Ingram. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday March 14, 2022 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthew Bowden, Rev. Frank Wood and Tony Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 PM on Monday March 14, 2022 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome GA. 30165. Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
